We aim to educate our students to become well-prepared members of a global society. As such, we’d like all students at South Seattle College to have the opportunity to experience other cultures – through travel, study, work or volunteering abroad, or through meaningful interaction with international students here at home. We want to encourage students to learn more about the world around them.
We provide administrative oversight for South Seattle College-administered and South-sponsored programs, as well as consultation and support for non-South affiliated programs. The Center for International Education promotes study abroad at South Seattle College, advises students about opportunities, and assists them and their families in planning and preparing for the experience.
The programs listed on this website are managed and supported by South and our affiliates. Programs vary in destination, length, subject matter and cost, but all programs have been selected because we believe they afford students opportunities to experience the world in new ways.
Program offerings may change – old programs may not be available and new programs may not be listed yet. We try to make updates to our website frequently, but please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in any of the programs you see listed, as we want to make sure you’re planning ahead with the most current information available.
Program costs can be subject to change pending fluctuations in currency exchange rates or the number of program participants. We will try to note this possibility whenever possible. Also, please be aware that most program fees DO NOT include South tuition or student fees.
