UPDATES REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)


Apply in three steps; complete the online application, upload the required documents, and pay the application fees. You can also email all required documents to IPAdmissions@seattlecolleges.edu. The Application/Express Mail fee, can be paid through the online application. See table below for details.

International Admissions will process applications submitted up to 5 quarters / 15 months in advance.

Applicants who have already attended North Seattle College, South Seattle College, or Seattle Central College should not submit a new application, but contact International Admissions directly for instructions.

Required documents include:

  1. Official Bank Statement dated within the last six months showing adequate funding to support the applicant for one academic year (3 quarters). Please reference the Estimated Costs of Attendance page for required minimum balances.
  2. Passport copy

Students younger than 18 years old must also submit:

  1. A signed Parental Consent and Information Release Form
  2. Current high school transcript

Transfer students from other US schools must also submit:

  1. A copy of the student’s F-1 visa
  2. Your I-94
  3. Your most recent I-20

Note: To transfer credits from another college or university, please provide an official transcript to South Seattle College. Official transcripts must remain in the original envelope sealed by the issuing institution. If the transcripts are not in English, you must also provide a notarized translation. Along with your official transcripts, please submit a completed Incoming Transcript Evaluation Request form (pdf).

Concurrent Students

Students in the United States on F-1 visas who would like to take classes at South but stay on their current school's I-20 form should not complete the online application linked above. Instead, they should do the following:

  1. Submit a complete Concurrent Enrollment Form
  2. Pay the $50 application fee online (contact IPAdmissions@seattlecolleges.edu directly for assistance with this step)
  3. Submit proof of English proficiency (students without proficiency must take an English placement test)

Students who will be accompanied by a dependent spouse or child(ren) must also submit:

  1. A copy of each dependent’s passport

Note: The minimum available funding amount increases by an additional $3000 for each dependent.

Students may enroll their dependents the South Seattle College international student health insurance plan offered through Lewermark. Also, new student downloadable application form is available.

* No application fee for deferrals through Fall 2021 (Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall quarter 2021). Otherwise, application fee is $50.
** Acceptance materials currently sent in digital format, so express mailing is not offered.
